I’ve been looking for a good tower defense for a while. Ever since I played Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, I’ve wanted to play a real tower defense game. That mini-game crap they had was nonsense. The Creeps is a great one. The creeps follow a trail and are either monster, sea, or martian themed, which is fun. The game includes over a hundred levels with 3 difficulties, and if you drop a few more bucks, you can get many more levels. The thing that makes this TD unique is that you have to blow up parts of the landscape for space to lay down additional towers. It is also the only way to get enough cash on some levels. You can play a traditional limited wave mode, an endless survival mode, or a “door buster” mode that aims at destroying the spawner before you get taken over. There are about a dozen different defensive tools available that are all upgradable. You can even build a piggybank that will store extra money for when the going gets tough. I kinda love how similar this game is to Ninjatown, my all-time favorite DS game. Although, those ninjas are much cuter than these ugly monsters.

Isn't there a Ninjatown game for iOS devices?

It's called trees of doom. It's not a TD. It's a vertical endless runner where you jump from the left to the right to avoid obstacles. I played it on someone's iPad once, and was disappointed it wasn't a port of NinjaTown.

I downloaded this game back in Dec when it was on sale for Free, apparently it still is free as well as the NinjaTown game, which now that it's free, is more fun. Both used to be $.99.
