Fancy Pants is like the ninja from N+ went on an adventure… while wearing spiffy clothes. It’s a 2D platformer that emphasizes wall-jumping, sliding, and running through Sonic-like loops. There’s even a cooperative/competitive multiplayer option similar to New Super Mario Bros., only with 50% less bumping into each other. This is the kind of game I expected Super Meat Boy to be, because it’s got an old-school charm and simple visuals but actually feels modern. How many more platformers can I mention in this review? Seriously, Fancy Pants Adventures is a culmination of all of these games and pulls it off really well. Your character has a realistic and satisfying weight to him. There are lots of fun ways to customize his outfit. The levels are just the right size. Co-op adds extra elements of strategy. Unfortunately, the introduction of combat in later levels drags it down a bit, and the camera in the co-op mode tends to get really stretched out. But I don’t care. Fancy Pants is a delightful game with a lot of replay value, and I’m completely hooked.

With PSN down, I can't. I would have though. Hopefully it'll be up today.

I've played it, I think it's brilliant, Brad Borne has really kept it similar to the gameplay style of the previous internet games but still manages to make it entertaining through jokes and fun character models and old school backround and platforming. :D

I never tried the original Flash games, but I love that they're bonus worlds in this one and can still be played with all four players.

I love the look of this game. It has a unique charm to it as well. It totally reminds me of being a teenager and trying to draw a cartoon and make a story. But for the life of me I cannot get into this game at all. I want to like it, but every time I start playing it I am reminded of why I no longer play Sonic the Hedgehog. At one point they were some of my favorite games, now I can't stand 'em. Any tips, Clark?

Wear a funny hat. It makes a world of difference. Have you tried playing co-op?

hehe, I'll do that. I tried co-op a little bit, but i think I'm going to start all over from the beginning with my nephew. The game seems to be targeted at his demographic anyways. 11 year old boys
